Alfred Hitchcock's films are all in the horror/thriller genre, his films all include twist endings and films regularly conclude violence and murder and mainly are centered around crime, many of his films do also include very strong sexual undertones. In 1956 he became an American citizen, as he moved to Hollywood.
Alfred Hitchcock came first in a poll of film critics in the Daily Telegraph in 2007. He started off working at Gainsborough Pictures, designing titles for silent movies; his transformation then from that to film director took 5 years.
